Question - Chronoris Grand Prix 70's Limited Edition

    Hi Guys,
New to the Oris Forum, usually on the Rolex & Omega side.
Anyway, i'm thinking of treating myself to the Chronoris Grand Prix 70.
    I think it looks amazing.
Can you guy's give me some information on what the watch is like to live with.
    Pro's & Con's etc.
What kind of accuracy can i expect??
    Cheers.

I have this watch. It has a unique look which I really like. The strap deployment is not the most comfortable to wear, but it doesn't bother me much. The watch has great accuracy: +/- 1 sec per day.

Re: Question - Chronoris Grand Prix 70's Limited Edition

Hi there, my first post on the forum.

I hope you pulled the trigger fella and bought one :) ??

I have had mine for a few months and its a great watch - I initially started looking at the TT range, liked the style and tried a couple on. Then I saw the black TT3 and thought okay its a little bit more expensive but it looks great. Finally found one in Sydney to try on - I liked it but the numbers were really hard to read and then I was informed that the TT3's can only have the rubber strap. So got hesitant and went back and forth to different shops even looked at the TAG Carrera, it was nice but the whole TAG superstore and visions of thousands of guys wearing them put me off.

During my earlier searches online the standout for me was the 1970 Ltd Ed, I loved the look/style of it and really liked the fact that theres only 1970 pieces worldwide - but hard to find them as they are limited. I Eventually found 2 shops, tried it on and fell in love with it straight off. Started negotiating and the one shop did an amazing deal and knocked 30% of the retail and I was even more happy that the number is below 20 also compared to the other which was in the 400's. The watch is running great, fits well & looks great, love the racing green and the leather strap and it will be a watch I will wear for hopefully a very long time. I am Really trying hard not to mark/scratch the brushed finish & my 10 month old daughter has her eyes on it so I have to be very careful...

Not sure about me ever owning a large collection having an accountant for a Wife!!! but all I can say is it would be great to own the actual version of this watch from the 1970's and I would maybe alternate wearing both watches regularly. Where is the best place to pick an original 1970's Chronoris up guys? ebay? Keep checking sale threads here? are there many online stores that sell these? any help would be appreciated.. Cheers
