Hamilton GMT Navy Diver review by OWS1

    Hamilton Khaki Navy GMT
    The Specks are as follows
Khaki Navy GMT Collection by Hamilton.
    Brushed Stainless Steel Case.
Attractive soft black leather strap with white stitching. Snapping deployment buckle on strap.
Black dial with silver tone hands and white markers.
    Luminous hands and markers.
24 hour subdial can be set to display a different time zone.
City display on lower internal rotating bezel. Upper internal rotating bezel moves the city display window.
Screw-down time and date setting crown on top right side of watch.
Screw-down crowns on bottom right side and left side of watch control the interior bezels.
    Date.
Precise Swiss Automatic movement 2893.1 with 21 jewels.
    See-through case back.
    Scratch resistant Sapphire crystal.
    Water resistant to 200m.
Case measures 42mm diameter by 12mm thick.
    24 Months Limited Warranty.
I sometimes wonder why I even spend the time to do reviews, I guess I always think there might be just one that would find something informative and help them make a better decision.
Hamilton is known as Americas Brand and I like that very much, they have been around longer than I have and that is a long time. They make a quality product today as they have for many years. You can not go wrong with Hamilton.
Fit and finish I have to give it a 10 out of 10. I never thought I would be a fan of Rubber for a band but this thing is not only great looking but feels soft and just a pleasure to wear.
Case and design are also very well thought out. 10 of 10.
Movement as you can see is the ETA 2893 and very nicely decorated.
Like any of my Hamilton I could easily just leave this one on my wrist.
Excuse the poor photos I had a hard time getting the Blue to pop and will try later when I have more time.
    Gary

How does changing the city work? Can the watch only be set to display the time in the 8 cities that are on the dial? Or is the city name more of a cosmetic thing?

    The city setting is cosmetic.

    What he said.
I saw the GMT Navy Diver a while back (WOYW) but not too much is written about it.
Your review has rekindled my interest in it.
If they only made this model in Quartz, I'd be all over it like ........... well you know.

I just picked this watch up with the SS bracelet from one my local Hamilton ADs. They gave me a really good deal and ate the taxes for me... I'm in Chicago and taxes are pretty steep at 10.25%.

It's a really cool watch. I wanted a black dialed diver, and this is unique with the internal dive bezel and GMT. It has a lot of functionality, but is still really easy to read.
