Invicta Men's 10 Year Collection Morgan Diver by sixtysix

Invicta Men's 10 Year Collection Morgan Diver
    Two-Tone Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch

I bought this watch for $70 USD from Amazon, com they were including a free Invicta back pack at that price. I own several Invictas and have never been disappointed with the value I got for my money. This watch is available in 6 basic color combos. I chose the black face with 2 tone band number 3261. Watch comes nicely packed as all other Invictas, double boxed in bright yellow, with cleaning cloth and instructions and warrantee info. Plastic was wrapped around band, hasp, and caseback had protective sticker, no protective sticker on face however. Very secure and pleasant packaging.

    Basic Specs (adapted from internet):

Swiss quartz movement powered by a ten year battery.
Case 40mm solid stainless steel, with a uni-directional black and red enamel bezel and Swiss gold plating.
Tritnite® luminous hands and hour markers at all positions, date window at 3:00.
    Water resistant to 100 meters (10ATM, 330ft.).
Folded Two-tone stainless steel bracelet (more on this later)8-1/4"L x 20mm
    Sapphire crystal
One year limited warranty provided by Invicta with the option to extend the warranty to a total of five years.

What I like about this watch?

It has a quality feel, not as heavy as some Invictas, but still a heft to it.
    The 10 year battery.
Seconds hand lines up with markers.
Attention to detail on face and general look, a very handsome watch.

What don’t I like about this watch?

The band looks great, but it is folded stainless and not solid links, gives it a cheap feel compared to my other Invictas. I am sure it with last OK, I just prefer solid links. The band fits my 8.5 inch wrist perfectly right out of the box. Most Invictas have required me to remove a link or two to fit. Big guys take note.

The crown is offset to the bottom, (around 4:00) and protected buy lugs molded into the case. This makes it very difficult for me to access it with my fat fingers. I am sure there is a reason they did this I am just not sure why.

The rotating bezel is a little stiff, and does have some play.

Two things about the face, the lume on the hour markers and case is much stronger than on the hands and I am not sure I like the thicker hands on this model yet, they seem to take up too much space on the dial. I am sure I will get used to it.

    Conclusion:

Overall this is a quality watch at a decent price. Shop NBC sold these out at $49.99, I bought mine for $70 with a free Invicta backpack. Either way you are getting a Swiss Movement, sapphire crystal, and 100 meter water resistance in a good looking dive watch for well under $100. That is value in my opinion!

Here's the photos, included one stock internet shot so you can see it with out glare, black faced watches are so hard to take pictures of.

Very nice watch for the price paid. Any idea what swiss quartz is used? Is it an ETA movement. Also is it unadjusted, adjusted or thermocompensated quartz (I doubt)?

The 10 year life means it is most likely using a Lithium battery, am I right? However I still doubt the battery last 10 years, I will be very happy if it last 6 years.

Took her out for a torture test, 4hrs of snow blowing, with lots of vibe on the watch (10hp single) temps in the 0-15F degree range. Still seems to run fine. Bad Lume shot also.

Just a quick note, the Bezel insert on this watch got knocked off with a slight tap on my truck door. I just glued it back on but I never saw one come off this easy. I have only worn it 3 or 4 times.

The only quartz movement that I am aware of the uses the litium battery for a 10 year battery life movement is produced by Ronda. There are probably others also.

Since this is at such a low price combined with its "swiss parts" labeling, I would venture a guess that it may be a Ronda which is assembled from Swiss parts somewhere in the Orient. Just a guess and by no means a knock on the watch or movement in any way. It is not thermocompensated or any high tech quartz. Just a regular 10 year lithium battery movement is my guess.

I personally like the 10 year quartz pieces Invicta produces. They are not ever going to be compared to Rolex watches but they do offer a lot of style for a reasonable price.

I also like that particular piece and think you have a nice watch there. I am not that fond of the bracelet but almost always prefer them to a strap.

Well here is an update a few years later. The watch uses a Ronda 705LI movement with a 2016 lithium battery. (got from OttoFrei, HQ 705LI was the exact replacement) How do I know? The date started to only flip half way sometimes and rather than mess with it, for $15 I got a new movement and just replaced it. The swap out was easy, but to have to replace the movement on a 2 year old watch the I never wear is just unacceptable. Rather then bash Invicta, (case, dial, hands all OK) I will bash Ronda on this one. Watch is happily ticking away in my watchbox again .
