Invicta Quartz Pro Diver 5017 ($49 at Costco) Mini Review by SwissyOwner

I was there at opening with coupon in hand. I must have looked at 20 blister packs until I found one where the second hand lined up with the markers. The watch is a 43mm dial with 22mm lugs. It is a quartz swiss movement, 200 meters, the crown, however, is not a screw down type (I'm not sure how it maintains it's water resistance). The one way bezel is 120 clicks for a full revolution, but no luminescent pearl at the 12 o'clock position. The back is nicely done "Pro Diver 43" and "Model No: 5017". It came on the standard Invicta ss bracelet, I immediately swapped it out for a thick black leather strap I had lying around. Fit and finish seems good (excellent for a $50 quartz watch) and very comfortable on my wrist. Definitely a GREAT watch for the money. I would give it two thumbs up.

haha....just looked at the ones i bought as gifts and noticed the second markers are not lined up! dammit!

The watch is OK, for $40 more id get a 8926 and actually i did.

The no screw down crown is pretty suspect, i cant see it maintaining water resistence at 150ft deep.

Question from a new watch enthusiast - How easy or difficult is it to replace the bracelet on the watch?

It should be easy to replace the bracelet. It is 22MM.I removed mine befre sizing it, as I usuaky do to avoid unnecessary shock to the watch. Be careful if you plan to re-use the spring bars, though. They are crimped to fit the curve of the case and break easily. I was able to use a straight spring bar I had lying sound to replace the broken one with no problem, however.

I got an even better deal on mine :) I got it at the swapmeet for $30 (no box of papers, though). It is definitely genuine, though. Ronda movement, swiss made battery even.. hah.. raketa.

One of my top five "work wearable" watches, definitey :)

I paid $35 for mine brand new with big cheesy box and all... Not a bad looking watch at all for the money. There's a surprising amount of detail, from the big "invicta" across the side of the case to the imprints on each of the links... I find it to be pretty comfortable, though it is quite sharp around the edges. The one major drawback about this watch is the non-screw down crown. Almost every time I take this watch off I unknowingly pull out the crown.

...but for $35 I cant complain at all.

    I resized the bracelet for a co-worker.

I found that the watch was a good deal for $50.00.

I used to have 2 Invicta's older ones that were made produced back in the early 2000's before all the QC issues popped up and way before they were one ShopNbc.

I can directly compare it to the 8926 that I owned and find that the bracelet of the 8926 felt less hollow. Hard to describe but this band felt a little light and a little rough around the edges.

    Just my $.02.
