Quick review of Nite TX10 tritium lume watch.

I've had this watch now for just over 2 months, so I decided to write a short review of it. It's the cheapest full tritium tube watch I've seen so far with tubes an all the hour markers and the hour, second and minute hands. It cost 75 pounds which is 83 euros or 122 dollars US plus 5 pounds post and packing. WR is 100 metres and it has a push in crown. I've showered with it a couple of times with no effect on the watch,so I'd imagine it's safe to take it into a swimming pool. It comes with sapphire glass and triple anti relective coating, which really has helped on bright days. On the negative side, the watch strap and body are integrated so changing the strap is impossible and adjusting it to a perfect fit on my wrist is'nt easy. However, a person with a thicker wrist will have no trouble. Also the rubberised body has protected it from quite a few bangs and scrapes. For the money you can't go wrong. The lume is great in a watch at this price point, much brighter than my Traser and Uzi. I have posted a couple of lume shots and plain face shots to see the difference.
    Thanks for reading.

Thanks for your quick review and lume shots. I've been thinking about getting either a TX10 or try and source a discounted MX10. I think I will be pulling the trigger on one in the very near future thanks to your comments.

BTW, I too was concerned about the strap issue but it seems replacement straps for the TX10 are available from nitewatches.com.

    Thanks again!
    A lesson for us all...

: Fifty bucks? No, no, no. This is a Rouchefoucauld. The thinnest water-resistant watch in the world. Singularly unique, sculptured in design, hand-crafted in Switzerland, and water resistant to three atmospheres. This is the sports watch of the '80s. Six thousand, nine hundred and fifty five dollars retail!
    Pawnbroker: You got a receipt?
Louis: Look, it tells time simultaneously in Monte Carlo, Beverly Hills, London, Paris, Rome, and Gstaad.
Pawnbroker: In Philadelphia, it's worth 50 bucks.

It appears that you have the version of the watch with the integrated strap; but the standard MX doesn't (as far as I can tell – I don't have one!). This is of interest to me because I'm yet to see one on a NATO strap...and if it's appealing, I'll be on the trigger!

Edit: I'm an idiot, sorry. I was talking about the MX, and this is a TX.

Re: Quick review of Nite TX10 tritium lume watch.

I own this watch in Blue......i've had issues with the strap loop breaking on me. Nite was great to deal with customer service wise and sent me a 3 loop straps for free that were a slightly different color as this model is now discontinued. After a while the integrated strap took a beating (i'm rough with my toys) and Nite sent me a brand new housing.

I installed the housing and broke the crown during install....I'm still not sure how it happend but the watch is useless at this point. I've recently sent the watch back to see if anything can be done to repair it.

This watch fits me like a glove, it gets me alot of attention, and the tritium is significantly brighter than my co-workers Liminox and Trasers....its all about how the tubes are set and Nite did a wonderful job with this watch, I find on the TX10 the glass acts as a sort of magnifying glass accentuating the tritium glow even more.

If my TX10 cannot be fixed I will be pulling the trigger on a MX10 special forces edition......I work in a rough environment and I can't say enough about how well this watch has held up. The metal has some marks on them from daily use and in my opinion they only make the watch look better.....like battle scars..... the sapphire crystal is still flawless....its very thick...I've dropped the watch a dozen times on concrete, tile, etc.....not a scratch.

The integrated strap is a huge pain in the arse though and this watch will eventually have to be replaced. But because its discontinued, unique, and robust its worth saving before a new Nite is purchased.
