After 50 years, I finally scored this ballpoint pen @ Atlanta Pen Show

    Hello,
The Papermate "Capri" (early 60's--not to be confused with the similarly named model of the mid to late 50's) was my first pen and pencil set and also the best looking ballpoint pen of all time. That it's manufacture was costly (due to the sloping metal top) is evident in the model's quick demise and therefore, they are relatively hard to find. Papermate followed up on this model with their very boring Slim/Regular/Wide line.

The top one on the attachment is the plasitic barreled model I'm talking about. I had a black one and two days ago @ Atlanta bought a '57 Chevy Green/Blue" version. Getting a refill will be tough though; the small hole in the tip of the pen doesn't suit those cheap "cut to fit" refills.

That's pretty cool! I met up with Pendleton Brown who put a cursive italic nib modification to two of my Parkers. Makes them "new" to me. We'll have to meet up one day.
    All the best,
    Dan
