    Another New Faber Castell

I had a new Faber Castell delivered today. It's an e-motion ballpoint in black pear wood to go with my e-motion pencil in maple wood.

I have also included a picture with my MB Le Grand pen and pencil (to give a sense of proportion). These are great value, and really tactile. The new pen will join the others in daily use at work:

Very much so. It's really nice series, with a great selection of finishes.

    Re: Another New Faber Castell

I've had the fountain pen version on my "need to buy" list for a while now. I really appreciate pens that stand out from the crowd, and these torpedo shaped Castells with their spring-loaded clips certainly fall into that category. My biggest dilemma is which finish to get? The natural wood ones look great, but the alligator also calls to me. It's tough when you have to decide on one of many that you would be happy with.

Really? I never would have expected that. Can you post that smell please? Maybe it'll influence which model I end up with.

Tried to attach the smell, but it didn't work

If you like the smell of leather prodducts and wooden furniture etc you'll appreciate. It's obviously subtle, but there...

The software can be a little flaky at times. I'll have to visit my closest stockist for a sniff. I spent (wasted?) some time last night trying to decide on one of the e-Motion models without any success. I simply like too many of them. Maybe when I see a few in person it will help me to make up my mind. What's is their weight like? The fountain is listed at 60g (I like heavy pens).
