    Parker 45 set, any info?

Just managed to pick this up at a shop in Canberra, thought I would post here in case there is anyone who knows much about them

Appears to be a never used set of 3 Parker 45 in original box, still has the original bags for the pens. Am really taken by them, I wont use them to be honest, even the pencil lead hasnt been used yet.

Parker 45 Flighter set. Nice find.

    Very nice mate, many congrats.

I've had mine for years, bought in separate boxes. Still faves, well balanced, classic.

Not a high-end classic, but definitely a classic and very well regarded. I recently included my 45 Flighter FP in a trade for a nice Orient automatic. So it served me well.

The biggest pleasure in owning fountain pens (also apply to other writing instruments too) in in actually using them..... just saying.

I definitely agree, which is why I'm happy to trade pens that I haven't and won't use for watches I will (and vice versa).

I purchased a Parker 45 set (mine didn't have a pencil) maybe 20-22 years ago. Nice enough writing utensils. I like the hooded nib on the fp. I don't like the design of the ballpoint because the lip of the cap irritated my thumb web.
