Porsche Design Titanium Pen from the 70s

I have a pen that has a very small label called "Porsche Design". There is no other identification such as model # etc. I am almost certain that the pen is out of Titanium and was bought sometime in the early 1970s.
Not only am I trying to find out what model this is but also what type of ball-point refill it takes.I have tried many types but so far no luck. Any help is appreciated. Pictures are attached.

Have you tried using a Parker Refill? I know the current generation of PD pens use the standard Parker refill. Hope that helps. Let us know how that works out.

Yes, I did try the Parker refill but not only is it too short but it also doesn't extend out of the opening - something in the pen design blocks it.

    Thanks for your interest, though.

    You might try Lamy...

...just because the clip is identical in design to the Lamy 2000 series.

I do remember seeing these pens for sale way back when. And here's the case (teak) that it came in:

MINT PORSCHE DESIGN TEAK PEN CASE NEW UNUSED - eBay (item 300460166823 end time Sep-25-10 10:56:38 PDT)

Well, I checked out the Lamy 2000 series and was not able to find anything comparable to my pen. Yes, there are some Lamy models that are similar but with all of those ballpoint pens you need to click to extract the writing part whereas on mind open you unscrew the bottom cover and then you can write. In either case, I will visit a nearby store that carries Lamy products and try one of their refills out.

Thanks for your help. I will let you guys know what I find out.

Well, for those of you who care...I found that a Montblanc Fineliner refill fits this pen but the problem is that I am looking for a ballpoint refill and I have not ye found a Montblanc refill for ballpoints with the same sizing as their Fineliners.
    The search continues...

It is a very comfortable pen because of the extending "ribbing" where you hold the pen. Apart from this I only have the "Fineliner" insert currently and I am not too fond of that product as the tip moves depending on the pressure you exert on the tip.

Hi I hope you are still interested in the PD pen question!, please note that I think the pen is same as I have and is a Rollerball, not a ballpoint. I use Faber Castell rollerball refils 148730 807 Black, 148731 706 Blue. They are a snug fit with just the writing tip showing when fitted, of course they are original to this range as Faber Castell produced these pens for porsche Design. They make up into a fantastic pen which are a delight to use. Of course I am now completly hooked! and now have the whole range, plus I have just purchased an early PD IWC Chronograph titanium Watch! so I may end up broke but I will be happy broke! Will try posting some pics later, All the best Paul
