    Hello Johnny,

You didn’t miss the boat, the project is still in the works, and is still alive and well, it juts isn’t going to have the OCEAN7 Logo (nor will it be sold through OCEAN7), and will have my logo on it.

I have enough to make 350 straps, and I will sell them, and then see where it will go from there…

They will be done professionally, therefore they will look very nice, the problem that I am facing is out of all the manufactures that made prototypes only one Manufacturer did everything right, unfortunately, they are a very large manufacturer for the U.S. Military they make (great products), but from a price aspect we are still negotiating as all the employees belong to a union.

The one person who did the perfect job, in sewing it together, is paid extremely well, as she gets paid per piece, not buy the hour, and let’s say, that she is not suffering financially...at all, and that her hourly wage on the is astronomical side, as it doesn’t matter what size it is, she has a senior position, and anything she stiches together is a set price…

The goal of this strap was to be affordable and useable, not be a “Prized Possession” in a display case of its own, due to the cost just to have it sewn, and this doesn’t include e the other work they have to do such as getting everything readily to be sewn, nor my cost for the materials.

I am still trying to work with them to get it to a price point where it can be affordable, I could do it elsewhere and make it affordable, but I don’t want the quality to be compromised, as I want each strap to be exactly like other 100%.

I am also a little sidetracked with an Alligator Bund Strap I designed and is currently being made that is water resistant to 100M, has phenomenal loops and keepers, that you can take a shower with, resistant to soap and chemicals, swim with, made from genuine alligator where the grain is all the same in the same pattern from tip of bracelet to end, and especially the bund pad part, a real “working bund” that you do not have to worry about and it comes with a one year guarantee.

I needed (wanted) a bund for my IWC, couldn’t find any that met my need, so I designed and had one made, it will cost a fortune, but I belie that it is worth every penny of it, especially for me, I spared no expense!

    Regards,

    John

What is this? Is this a private message that you published? It could be construed as a selling post and I believe only dealers can do that.

Not at all…I made the post first…then I sent the post reply thread to "powerband", who asked a legitimate question, just in case he did not see the post (it was posted somewhere else, and I could not respond to it.

Besides, it is kind of hard to sell something that is not made (and I am not selling the prototypes), and unless they can go "nonunion" to sew the strap, it is not cost effective to be made, as the price for sewing, alone, is astronomical. There are other two other places I can have the strap made at a very reasonable price, but the quality is not there, but I am looking for quality.

I have been asked to make them by hand for several forum members, and have declined...not because I don't want to (I would make them for free for them), but making them by hand is extremely time consuming, since I don't have the proper equipment and it is all hand done.

Therefore, once again, this was not a sales post, just answering someone's question and a Status Post or Update…if you will.

Sorry, that I did get sidetracked with the Bund I am having made for my IWC, but then again this is the strap and bracelet section of WUS, and it is a strap I am having made for myself, in addition also explaining why I am a little sidetracked on the 100% Kevlar Strap.

Therefore, if anyone wants to discuss the 100% Kevlar Strap feel free, I am willing to divulge everything except the best maker (LOL)!

    Regards,

    John
