Very nice! Great combo - I only wish those older Seiko 6138's had bigger lugs.

Did you have that case refinished? Looks like new. My 0030 case (1976) was worse for wear when I got it, even though the movement had a complete service. Even after meticulous polishing, it doesn't look as good as yours.

Thanks! Mine has been polished with hands, pushers, and crown replaced. I knew this when I bought it because I wanted a bullhead to wear. If it was all original in this condition I'd be worried I'd hurt the value. It's wickedly accurate too. Bullheads are a blast to wear.

That Seiko Bullhead is just stunning. Even so with leather.

After some time looking for one, I finally snagged a fully restored piece yesterday from a watch restorer who's been working on Seikos these past three decades. And his expertise is Seiko Bullheads. The one I got looks NOS! Couldn't have asked for more. And the replaced parts - dial, crown, pushers, were all accurate pieces. The only non-original part is the steel bracelet. It didn't come with the fishbone bracelet, but the one got is a period correct original Seiko steel one. This Bullhead is real keeper.

This is my first vintage, first Seiko, and first non-Swiss timepiece. It's now my favorite!

I received this Hamilton Jazzmaster 42mm Quartz Chrono for Christmas 2009, and wasn't terribly thrilled with it, for my own nutty reasons (it's objectively the nicest, most accurate watch I own, regardless of said nutty objections). It was on a nice black alligator strap, which just isn't my style, so the watch sat unloved until I finally took some time to pick out a strap that dressed it down a bit. Here it is on a green DeBeer Sport Leather Chrono strap. I'm still not that into chrono's, but I finally enjoy wearing this watch regularly, which is doubly good since my wife can finally see me wear the gift she went to the trouble of getting me.
