Custom Strap Request.

I am asking all watchuseek experts for anyone who will willing to make an unusual 21mm watch strap. The strap should fit a watch which looks like the watch below. I would like to know how you will solve the attachment/detachment problems. The strap material used should be conventional, but different, or different and unconventional. If anyone is willing to accept the challenge, please give me a price quote.







If anyone cannot help me in this, then please can you make any suggestions concerning a way to make a strap with this kind of watch work?

I will need help in, a.) How can I secure this watch to the closed lugs, in a way in which they will be readily removeable? Is it possible to use the same buckle on procedure as with a conventional strap, but with a different lug attach/detach methodology?

Any help or suggestions will do. I will even make my own straps if this is necessary? If, so, then I would probably use Skate skin mated with goats skin or suede.

Nothing overly difficult here - you could replicate the same design as pictured here with easily-obtained hardware.

A nato-type strap would work on this as well.

Thank you very much for this suggestion. That is an exceptionally clever observation. My idea I could play with is to use the Nato strap design idea but with leather or some other exotic material. Many thanks for this!

Oh, yes, before I forget. You mentioned that it was possible to obtain hardware for this. What sort of hardware would I need to produce this kind of strap?

I see 2 distinct bits of hardware, neither of which is a buckle.

The 1st, larger or the 2, I would replicate with a pair of chicago rivets/screws and then a base plate that I would manufacture myself - that doesn't have to be as difficult as it sounds. A small piece of medium-gauge metal could be fashioned quite nicely with a bench grinder or dremel with appropriate wheels.

The 2nd piece is just a simple button stud: you can find them in a variety of sizes and finishes at any leather supply store (retail or online). I've got a jar of them from years of doing ammo straps - made from pouches and slings, studs like this are omnipresent in that kind of military good. Thos are one-piece stayle, which would work well, and modern ones often have screw backs to them, which you may find more attractive.

Make sure to post pictures of your results - I enjoy unique projects like this, it would be a fun task.

Your information is pretty valuable, and I will certainly consider and examine everything you have said very carefully CADStraps, as it seems the best way to go. -Though, to be honest with you, I would rather pay someone to make a good high quality strap, made after the fashion which you just outlined, just for me to be lazy!
