Cutting a strap to fit an unconventional lug setup. It went ehhhhhh....

I started a thread a week or so ago but a bunch of my posts got deleted because the mods got mad at me because apparently I was speed posting. I asked them to bring my threads back but didn't work out so well.

Cutting a 26/24 band down to fit this 18-25/16.
I'm sure this isn't challenging to someone that has any experience. I have zero.

And here comes the not so awesome part. Luckily I started with the top half because it's not as good looking. Ha

And the keeper I cannibalized from another strap I have. But I'm gonna try and make one out of the ones that were on the strap originally.

I'd love your thoughts and some tips.

Pretty good, all things considered. Yeah, the insets are a bit too deep there, but live and learn.

Did you cut the notch before folding over the end, or after?
And it is also said, "go not to the Elves for counsel, for they will say no and yes."

I cut it before. I was kind of rushing because it was late at night.
the band I cut up to fit is a pretty cheap one 10 bucks ish.
so it had a plastic piece where the spring bar goes which made the accuracy of the cut a bit harder.
but I rushed so its not a great excuse.
