End Links on Watches with Bracelets (and watch bracelets in general)

    Hi guys,

I'm feeling a bit weird here, but who else has a thing about end links? Let me explain...

I HATE lazy looking end links; you know the ones where the end links look like some crappy version of the actual bracelet? To me it looks sloppy (and I'm a bracelet guy, I don't like straps all that much).

I found this out by purchasing the very expensive SARB017 bracelet, the end link simply does not look as nice as my Omega Seamaster bracelet. You can see an example below:

    1. SARB017 - as you can see, looks a bit lazy and a imitation of the links themselves.
    2. Omega Seamaster - this looks like its done properly and in my opinion, great!
    3. Rolex Sub - To me, the best. It looks stunning and to be honest, all of Rolex's bracelets do (end link wise).
    4. Tudor BB36 - I was actually close to buying one, but the end link looks terrible, its actually put me off (can you get a Rolex end link for it?)

Anyone else like this? Also, what watches do you think have the best bracelets that are somewhat affordable? (lets say, below $800).

Not within your budget but since you asked for the best bracelets....

I know exactly what you mean because the same thing really bugs me. It seems a shame to go to the trouble and expense of producing a nice bracelet and then let the mismatched lug ends let the whole thing down. If you are going to make a multi link bracelet with multiple finishes, weld up some of those same links and make an actual matching lug end. I have not seen this execution even on high end watches. This is what drove me to collect straps, at least initially.
