I see your Brown Buttero Ed, and raise you 4 Whiskey Buttero straps!!

Using some pink Amy Roke thread on the Chr. WARD C60, blue Carriage thread from Tandy on the watchless straps and gunmetal-colored Amy Roke thread on the Ball Fireman Racer. Really pleased with the price and feel of the Amy Roke thread. Carriage thread is super strong but definitely a bit pricey for just a 100m spool.

I absolutely love this leather too. Still working through my 1/2 a hide of Whiskey order but I'm anxiously ready to order my next Buttero hide in either Chestnut or Brown.

Here's also a recent Chromexcel HBS strap I made for my Zenith EP!

Touché. Very nice stuff man. I see that you’ve brought your game way up. Stitching, burnishing and cutting real clean now. Selling now?

Got a new toy this weekend and been trying to dial in the right settings (pulling my hair out)...

That is awesome! Way cooler than the cheap entry-level ones I've recently looked at in the Tandy store. A splitter is definitely on my future wishlist.

...not selling yet. Thanks for noticing my improvements though! I love doing a fully stitched strap but it's also extremely frustrating getting just the slightest crooked line in your stitch holes. Stuff of nightmares getting a crooked stitch line at the very end of the project.

Speaking of avoiding crookedness, I switched from just using a single hole rotary hand punch for making the buckle holes, to buying this handy 4-hole chisel punch from Tandy and it gives me smaller holes and the spacing is perfect! Here's a pic below of the tool I'm talking about. I've found it to be much more 'beginner-friendly' than accidentally misaligning the rotary hole punch just once and having to worry about even spacing between holes as well.

Okay Level 5, you have broken the unwritten rules. We own the same Ball Fireman (I even wore it today), we own the same Christopher Ward Trident, but I don't own a Zenith El Primero. To make this right I am going to need you to buy one for me and mail to me. I will PM you my address, I expect expedited shipping.

In other news, nice work man ;). Both you and Webicons have come very far in your strap making.

Bought a $20 panel of Horween Dublin English Tan and made me a new 20mm strap with it! Super soft leather and loads of character! Used a gunmetal grey thread from Amy Roke in .45mm thickness.
