Just to be clear, did you use springs bars inside of tubes?

I have done this myself but used tubes 2mm shorter than the strap width to allow spring bar tool access - i.e. 20mm tubes with a 22mm strap.

You going to have to get used to that strap, removing it will most likely come down to either - 1. destroy the strap 2. Cause damage to the watch case.

I recommed a Dremmel drill with circular cutter and cut through the strap/tube/springbar on each side. Be sure to tape up the watch head in order to protect it from damage / debris.
Growing old is compulsory, growing up is optional. BM

Try your best to mush the strap to one side to allow you to get a cutting tools (snips or a circular blade in a dremel) and cut through the tube and spring bar
You can watch something happen, you can make something happen, or you can stand there wondering what the hell just happened.
