    Had this one for 6 years and its still going strong, punched many thousands of holes with it, all for the princely sum of $3.95 at the time. Expesinve tools are not really needed to do the job, the only thing wrong with these is the rubber sleeve wore out with allot of use, apart from that, all good.

    hello
    for holes of 1-1.5 mm, try using Drill bit
    works well with dremel

    I coated my punch tool handles a while back and it's SUCH an improvement in grip and comfort.. bare metal was no fun!

    But not a masonry bit! Drill wont be a clean as a punched hole in leather? no?

    Expensive set, but often offered at a reduced sale price, and worth every penny (hole punches are 1/16", 5/64", 3/32", 1/8", 9/64", 5/32", 11/64", 3/16", 13/64" and 7/32"):

    Matt I got some of that for my GF but she said it is itchyseriously though I have the handles covered in a cloth tape at the moment, but I will see if that stuff works, good observation thanks.

    If you are a dentist, grab your probe, measure the distance and dimple it, grab a 330 bur to make pilot hole and expand and then use a diamond to smooth the hole. Done! :)
