And here are some pics of the aforementioned black bridle leather strap on it's destined watch... a Seiko Alpinist Sarb 017 care of Long Island Watch! The strap turned out great, as the pics show suits the watch perfectly, and I am totally satisfied! The only slight knock is the spring bar holes were really tight and it took some elbow grease/finagling to get them in securely.

Also the sad thing is I am not going to get to keep the strap or the watch... I am actually going to give this to my boss at work as a congrats gift for his newborn daughter, as well as the promotion he got literally days prior to her birth. He better like it -_-

Wonderful photos Karkarov. I am very sorry bout the spring bar issue. I think some glue may have gotten in there and added a lot of unnecessary resistance. I have seen some strap makers put a small metal tube where the spring bars go. Does anyone have an opinion on that?

It wasn't a huge deal, I got it in there, it just took putting the bar in half way a couple times and slowly loosening it up. I will take a secure spring bar over a loose one any day. I don't think the tube is needed myself.

Ah, I see. I have since ordered a tip for my Filetesue heating tool and have remedied the springbar problem by clearing it out and forming the loop better.
