Victorinox Excursion – Integrated Rubber Strap?

I have an old Victorinox Swiss Army Excursion 24490 quartz – what tools to replace the integrated rubber strap? Pin punches & hammer? (e.g. this kit: http://www.amazon.com/SE-Watch-Band-Remover-Piece/dp/B002Q8AJSM/ref=pd_sbs_watch_4) I don’t think a regular pin remover would work.

Which of the following strap sources would be best?
    Victorinox $30: http://www.swissarmy.com/PartsAndAcc...pieces_rubber&
    Watchbands.com $35: http://www.watchbands.com/ProductInf...oductid,,09860
    Watchbandsonline.com $45: http://www.watchbandsonline.com/swiss_army/

Also, would I need Pins & Pipes also available from Watchbands.com $4: http://www.watchbands.com/ProductInf...ductid,,000304

    Thank you.

Welcome~Should only require a springbar tool. The holes on the side of the case aide in removing the springbars, cheers!

Re: Victorinox Excursion – Integrated Rubber Strap?

Thanks - WUS has been very educational for me in the past weeks.

Are other integrated straps held in by spring bars instead of pins? I believe the Excursion 24490 strap is held in by a solid pin instead of a spring bar. I just got the $9 springbar tool from Otto Frei and tried, but I couldn't move it so it's either a pin or a stuck springbar.

My past few weeks browsing through watch sites has introduced me to many tempting watches (PMX56-2811/2812, SBCM023, BN0000-04H, PMT56-2714, SBQK081, SBCA001, SBQL007), but I really should get my old watches working before getting any new ones.

    Hi material,
I have exactly the same watch and the same problem. How is it then, do I need a springbar tool or punches? And which ones? I just ordered the strap.
    Thanks for your help
