New 16600 & no Divers Extension?

Now don't take me for a fool, I know the truth. My wife bought a Sea-Dweller for my birthday this afternoon. While we were at the local AD the salesperson could not get the divers extension to work on the SD or the Sub with date. According to the salesperson, and after consulting with the watchmaker in the back, only real Sub with no date had a divers extension. :-D

While I respect and will always cherish the Sea-Dweller for the tool watch it is, my Speedy and Diapal are better finished. Is there a trend here?

Please post a picture of the bracelet, underneath the clasp.

The SD MUST have the extension. This watch is meant for diving!

The newer style bracelets have a little trick to releasing the extension link.

    Dealer knows nothing.
Try this link. http://www.rolexreferencepage.com/divesuitlink.html If your SD doesn't do this take it back as its got the wrong bracelet.

Thanks guys. I know all Subs have the extension. I found it both shocking and humorous that I had to explain this to the dealer. It seems they were confused by the solid link extension.
