    Yes it could be 18K and fake. Amazing how silly some people are.

    Sorry Andrew, but the watch is a blatant fake. I'm no Super Expert on Rolex watches. But there are certain ways to tell. And that watch is checking off a couple of the "blatant" boxes.

    From the horribly blurry pic the OP posted, the hour hand looks more like an arrow than a snowflake. Something similar to what one would find on a Citizen BM6400 model.

    Can't even remotely make out which name is at the top of the dial. Though if it did say "Tudor," I don't think the OP's friend would be calling it a Rolex.
