15 minutes slow doesn't sound normal to me. Do you mean it lost 15 minutes in a two week period or in one afternoon? Actually either one sounds like a problem.

Sometimes it takes a little time for the watch to settle but 15 minutes off is too wide a discrepancy. My Sub No Date was +/- 4 seconds per day straight out of the box and has settled in around +1-2 per day.

    loosing time

One thing that can be causng the loss of time is how you wear the watch. My first mechanical watch periodically lost chunks of time. I figured that i didn't move my arm enough to keep the watch fully wound. As the spring winds down some watches loose time.

Before you send the watch in to get checked out you might want to put it on a winder or every few days manually wind the watch and see how it keeps time.

If the problem reoccures then i would definitely send it to Rolex and get the watch checked out.

A winder is a mechanical device that keeps automatic watches wound by motion. Check out the link:

Take it to an authorized dealer immediately. After they verify the watch's authenticity, they will need to open up the case and take a look at the movement. The AD may do this on site or may send it to a Rolex service facility. Good luck!
