Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust - Is it real?

I received this as a gift, and I was just wondering if it was real. Please let me know what you think and if you need additional photos without having to open it. It is a perpetual mechanism.

Why 2 pictures of the deployment and 1 crappy one of the face?

Would need to post better pics of dial, case and crown.

I know I have a problem but at least I know what time it started!

I was taking the pics with my phone, and the other face pics were out of focus. I will try and get better photos up tomorrow. I have learned that watches are hard to photograph without a macro lens, and my Nikon crapped out on me a while back.

From what I can see it's not looking good.

But let me ask a question about the person who gave you this gift. Would if be out of line if they spent $7,000 on you, or would it be more reasonable if they spent closer to $50.

Looks very fake to me. Crown and bezel give it away. Also the RBR looks wrong, and there's a gap between the two parts of the clasp that shouldn't be there. Lume on the dial looks wrong. I can probably go on. I could be wrong, but I don't think I am.

Yeah, definitely fake. The bezel font and spacing are all wrong (among other things, as mentioned above). Here's a detail from your photo compared to my Datejust:

Actually they like me a lot. Judging from this post, I suspect that you are a pompous ass.
They did not pay much for it and suspected it could be a fake. Either way, I am happy.

Question has been asked and answered. The watch is a very poor replica. Buying and selling replica watches is illegal and we do not allow their discussion on Watchuseek regardless of where they came from. Thread closed.
