Ambit compass blank screen when tilted 90 degrees

Quick question for you ambit owners:

While in compass mode, does your screen go blank if you tilt the watch 90 degrees while the screen is facing you? (reproduce the 2nd step in a the compass calibration routine to check).

I ask because this happens to me. Even though the degrees shows up if I tilt it back I'm wondering if this could be some software issue as Moveslink quit while forcing a firmware upgrade to my watch.

Gee, I don't know, have to try... but what would you want it to show you when tilted 90deg? I'd think blank makes a lot of sense...

    Yep. Mine does it.
To me it makes perfect sense. The watch isn't facing, or even tilting, any direction. So no value is the right answer.
I think it pretty nift that it starts working again when you tilt it over further so it's upside down, and then shows a value 180 degree off from where you started since it's now pointing the other way.

Thanks guys! It actually makes a lot of sense. Just found it a little weird that this was the first thing I noticed after Moveslink went bananas while forcing the firmware upgrade. Hope they work a little on their Moveslink app :)
