Ambit, display: has anyone seen this?

I just noticed when holding the watch at a certain angle in the light that the silver coloured border around the display is " scratched" ?
And there are more on different places.
    Anyone noticed this ?
Please note, at front view you won't see anything, only at a specific angle I can see these..

BTW, this is beneath the glass which is not in anyway scratched.

I don't see that on a black one. Maybe a small paint defect... On the black, that part of the face looks like it may be aluminum, maybe with paint or powder coat.

Looks like it's a manufacture defect. Return it if you can.

    Thnx for your quick reply.
    I'll probably return it.

Does anyone know how to reset the Ambit to factory settings?

On Movescout has that option. You also want to reset the GPS in the watches service menu.

After sending the picture to suunto, within 3 hours DHL was sent to bring it per express to Finland.
seems they want to be sure this is not a production error and more returns are to be expected.
Anyways I'm without my Ambit as their are no Ambits in stock. However they promised me a new or a repaired Ambit this week. however I won't really be happy with a repaired item .
Wait and see. Keep you informed.

That is great service. We all new Ambit owners are very important to Suunto for real world feedback and failures. Trust me, they will be very interested in your watch.

Re: Ambit, display: has anyone seen this?

Well today DHL brought me a new one!
    Great service!
However, this one also has these "scratches" so it's part of the production. I don't mind, as long as it can not lead to other errors.
BUT, now this one has speed measuring problems (I'm such a lucky guy, NOT).
I just walked in the open (GPS found within 10sec and stable) at 5 km/h and the watch fluctuate from 0 km/h to 6 km/h. tried running and cycling presets. Both have problems.

The first watch was 100%. I'm getting tired. I just want to have one technically 100% and lasting for 5 years or more.
Below my short walk, after 6 minutes I kept the pace but the watch dropped to 0 km/h??

Reset your GPS in the service menu and try it again.
