Ok, so I had my Ambit now for few days, took really got care of it and still managed to have the PVD bezel show wear in few places. Was the metal bezel a good idea? I wished Suunto had used a high quality polymer instead of Metal an PVD.

Yep, mine is quite scratched already as well.
Smacked mine against a door frame the second day I had it. Been living with the evidence since...
No marks on mine yet but a black sharpie marker should hide some bezel rash.
Seriously people!?! If it had been a plastic bezel, there would have been people screaming about that. If you don't want the watch to get scratched, then don't wear it!

mine also has a dent, from door frame, and I can tell, I'm glad it is from metal, otherwise it would look worse.
Sorry about the rant, but really, if the Ambit bezel were made of plastic, there would be people screaming..... Scratches and dings are marks of distinction, especially on an outdoor watch. If ir really bothers you, ask Suunto how much it would cost to give your Ambit a "spa treatment".
