Besides movescount, any other off-line software available?

I found it slightly inconvenient that I have to connect to movescount to upload my exercises.
Some times I would not have any internet connection when I'm out in the field.

Any other off-line software solutions available?

Are there any ways to link it up to my iPad for uploading?

The only way I've seen to pull data off the Ambit is with movescount2, but you can do that offline to a laptop. There are some other apps that can then look at the data on the pc, without being on the internet.

For the Mac rubiTrack will seamlessly sync the .xml files from your Moveslink and Moveslink2 library folder. It will pull all data into a single file and allow export of .tcx and .gpx files. The developer is very responsive and I highly recommend. I have no financial interests, just a fan.

    Hi,
There are several previous threads on this. Here's one: Ambit and desktop software

    To clarify....
Moveslink will get the data from the watch to PC/Mac without an internet connection.
The xml files are stored on the PC, and uploaded to Movescount later when you do get an internet connection.
The xml files on your laptop can also be read by 3rd party software running locally on your laptop.
    - For the PC, there is at least Neotrack and Sportracks. Maybe others soon.
    - For the Mac, there is rubitrack.
These should allow for watch data review - like HR, Elevation. However I don't believe that any of them locally cache the map/satellite images, so your GPS tracks will be there but not really useful without an internet connection.

Note though, that after finally synching with Movescount, the xml files are periodically deleted, so you'll want to grab them quickly or else duplicate them.

also note that currently only the online Movescount can edit and control the watch configurations, and settings.

Other then Mac/PC, I've not seen any other ways to review or upload data.

What we need is a Moveslink app for the iPhone/iPad that works with the USB dongle you can get from apple to connect a camera for photos. This makes the whole solution really portable and with an offline version of Movescount you could also analyse your moves on the go too.

On PCs SportTracks can import Suunto XML files generated from Ambit since some weeks.
