Does the Suunto Core Alu Deep Black worth the extra 140,00ish US$?

Hello Mates, hope everyone is doing cool!

So I've been thinking for quite some time to get a new Suunto Core. Until recently I was debating between the Glacier Gary or the Lava Red, then again that was until recently since I'm now thinking about getting the Alu Deep Black.

The question I do propose for discussion is: does the Suunto Core Alu Deep Black worth the extra 140,00ish US$? Talking Amazon prices here.

It sure looks good, way more elegant and stylish than any of the other Cores and at the same time it won't loose the sporty-adventurer felling of the Cores, at least for my taste-point of view.

The watch (or wrist top computer as they call them) itself is the same in functions, so it all comes to how much you like the little aluminum-black-dude and how much are you willing to pay for it... The discussion indeed, Mates: do you think this final sentence is right or there is more to it that meets the eye? Will this model withstand better and longer the use and abuse of one owner, will the paint be more resisting to scratches? Will the strap last longer before breaking up? Etc.

I went for the Alu Deep Black it's a really nice watch, it's my first ABC so I have nothing to compare it with in that aspect, but the strap is durable and comfortable but the black paint job is not, well aluminium is a soft metal anyway so any knocks or scrapes will scratch into it very easily, mine gets a lot of abuse ( I work on building sites ) but with all the nicks and scratches it still looks cool. Would I buy it again if I could go back and start over, YES I love it.
