Anything with an LCD does that, the screen is on its way out. Warranty, or in any case you're going to have to send it to Suunto.
Cheers mate sound, don't think I got warranty how much a repair like that cost roughly?
Send it off...Your watch is definitely under warranty directly through Suunto as long as you have proof of purchase. Even if you don't, they may elect to repair or replace for free, because they can tell from your serial number when it was manufactured. They did with my X10. The warranty period is two years from the date of purchase.

At least in the US, you get a preprinted FedEx label to ship off your watch to the Suunto service center in Ogden, UT free of charge. If it's out of warranty, you're charged for an inspection.
Where did you buy it? If it was somewhere like Amazon, call them and see if you can organize a return or exchange.
You may just want to try changing out the battery. It may not help, but perhaps... It would be a <10.00 way to check without sending it off. If that still doesnt do it, then you can pull the battery, put the old one in and send it off... And you have a battery ready for next time!
Just a thought.
Suunto... Replacing Luck!
Jeff, if you re-read the original post, he already changed the battery, with no joy... Unless it's two dead batteries, it's a hardware issue, so a warranty repair / exchange is his best bet.
yep
Suunto... Replacing Luck!
Cheers for the help lads, I got it from eBay july 2010 so don't think I'll be covered with warranty, I'll send it in to suunto and depending the price I might buy a new one, I'll let u guys know the outcome! Thanks again
Yeah, once screens start to go, they go. You should have seen the dashboard in my old Mercedes. It was like looking at a Lite Brite. And I never knew what time it was. Or the temperature. Or what gear I was in. Now I stick to simple cars with stickshifts.
I'd imagine on something like a watch, it would be relatively plug and play for Suunto to replace it. I hope it doesn't end up costing you too much!

A man's watch is a very cherished thing. You steal that, you might as well be stealing his soul.
