Moveslink2: Silently failing to fully synch

For the last few days Moveslink2 has this behavior on my PC -
Starts up and runs through its deal apparently fine. All actions report "ok."
- moves go up to Movescount fine
- new satellite files come down to the watch fine.
- but changes to the Profiles and screens in Movescount don't come down to the watch.

Win7 machine. I've rebooted, reinstalled Moveslink, plugged and unplugged the cable many times.

Then over on the Mac, it all works fine including actually updating the display/profile settings.

Any PC whiz suggestions?

Same here... or actually, exactly the opposite. PC Moveslink syncs fine for me at work, but at home OS X (Lion) Moveslink doesn't update custom profles. Also, on OS X, Moveslink quits regularly during downloading recent moves. It takes 4 to 6 tries to download without crashing/quitting. Satellite data update also takes ages compared to PC Moveslink. Reinstall, force firmware update, etc... no change.

Yep OSX Lion 10.7.4, latest version of Moveslink and no updates anymore... Profile changes just don't come through and the sync process fails at Syncing satellite orbital data, it just stays at 0%, no matter how long I wait. After I disconnect, nothing changed... Already asked Suunto about it last weekend, but no answer so far, guess I'll wait some more!

Hey, good news on my end.

With no changes on my part that I know of, the Display customizations now, come down on my PC to the watch from Movescount, where they didn't at the time of my OP above.

I noticed that I have 3 moves still on my watch that havent uploaded to movescount. I have the latest movescount software on mac.

Same problems here. Cannot customise. Suunto need to get this sorted.

I returned my Ambit to REI because it had the screen streak issues reported elsewhere in this forum. The second Ambit I received would not sync properly and never synced the customizations. The watch would sync the time and waypoints but nothing else. I tried a different user on Movescount and a different user on the Mac, so in the end, it had to be the watch. I called the helpdesk and was told this was not an issue they have heard of before and either return the watch to the dealer or send it in to the service center. I found another REI nearby that has a black one so hoping third time is the charm. If your screen customizations do not sync there is probably something wrong with the Ambit. My first Ambit that had the streak on the screen never failed to sync customizations.

Is this intermittent? I haven't updated any config to the watch in a while and was holding off after this report. Decided to try it today, created a Bowling profile, sync'd, appears on the watch. Disabled the Bowling profile, sync'd, profile is gone from the watch. So at least for the moment, things seem to be working here.
