So how many of you got the Ambit HR vs the regular Ambit?

I bought the standard Ambit and a separate ANT Comfort Belt, because it was 5€ cheaper then an Ambit HR.

Full HR kit for me, use it for running and walking so wanted a watch to do both. I have the dual belt with my T3d but with all the confusion ( will it work or not), I got the new belt anyway. There is some discussion that the Ambit belt is different ( filters or something) but I have done a direct comparison to see if this is true.

Let me know, I bought w/o HR and have been using my Dual Comfort Belt, which seems to work very well with my Ambit. I even paired the Memory Belt with the Ambit and it seemed to work fine even though the Suunto Q&A said it would not work.

I had already decided to buy Black Ambit with HR, but some UK Retailers are only selling the Black Ambit with HR, not without (if you want the black then you are 'pushed' into buying the HR as well).

Bought without but use it with HR at home training but without for multi-day trips in the hills. Voted "Ambit HR" to indicate I use the HR aspect of the device.

Sorry my fault for typing too fast, meant to say I have not done the comparison yet. I have not been running since I got the ambit, tore my calf in a skiing accident mid March so have just Been testing it light walking. The phisio says I can start to use the treadmill this week, so will try to do a decent test of the 2 belts on the same program and let you know the result.
