    Sharp looking used Suunto

    Hello,

I'm an Omega and Seiko dive watch guy looking for a good idea for a Suunto wrist watch. I'll be wearing it mainly for looks so it needs to be attractive and BIG which it seems like most are.

I'm interested in purchasing used and I've been looking on Ebay for a used one but cannot decide on which one to purchase. I'm looking for something around $100-$150 used. I'm a fairly avid outdoorsman but by no means extreme. I was looking at the Casio G-Shocks but the Suunto's look so much more attractive and interesting. Any help or feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I would reccommend an X Lander. To me, they look AWESOME on the wrist. They are quite big and loaded with features for even a modest outdoorsman!

Thanks for the reply. One thing to note, I was hoping to have the heart rate monitor built in. So i'm guessing my only option is an Advizer or Metron(not sure of the SP) I just missed one for sale on the private seller board yesterday unfort. Am I correct in making an assumption that these are the only 2 that fall in that category?

No Sir, there is the whole T line and many in the X line... I like the X6 HR.

Check out the link to the training world as well. (In my signature).

Do all the heartrate watches require the belt to be worn or are any capable of determining your pulse and heart rate from the wrist?

They all use a belt. Its far more accurate than any of the other methods. It provices a constant reading.

So anyone know what belts work with the Suunto's? I just missed an advizor on ebay because I was out snowblowing...damnit. I have found a few WITHOUT the strap and it looks like the strap from Suunto is expensive

Anyone want to sell me a used Advizor or Metron with straps?

IMO if you are considering a Suunto HR function with maybe the X-Lander's features and appearance, I would go with the Metron.

The Polar T-32 transmitter belt is compatible with the Metron and more attractively price and more widely available.

You should be able to find one on auction site for between $15-$25 used or a little less than $40 for NIP.

Hey i just got a used metron off ebay. I love it. Its has the looks and the features of the x lander plus the heart rate monitor. Mine did not come with a strap either put i had an old polar strap and transmitter and it works fine.

Good luck, hope you find a metron they are well worth the search!!

I was told that the metron and advizor work with the following trnsmitter belts

    X6hr
    X6hrm
    2006/7 model T1
    X3hr

The Metron will NOT work with these heart rate straps :

    T1 2008 model
    T3
    T4
    T6
    Smartbelt
    Memorybelt
