    Question Suunto Alarms

I figured this would be a good place to post my question.
I owned an Observer before, but ended up selling it because the alarm was whisper quiet. I use my "tool" digital watches as my workhorses in my collection and I wear them to bed, so I use the alarms to wake me up. Does anyone know if all the Suunto watches are plagued with the same quiet alarm as the Observer?
I currently use a Casio Pathfinder as my nightly watch because is offers 5 daily alarms and they are actually loud, but more and more I find myself drawn back to the Suunto brand.
So, anyone that has experience with the brand that can offer help would be appreciated. Thanks!
    Cheers,
    Rob

Just about any other Suunto alarm is louder than the Observer.

Agreed... I like the multi-tonal alarm of the Core.

But I admit, I rarely use alarms at all.
    Suunto... Replacing Luck!

The alarm on my T6C is pretty good. Not as loud as my Casio's but acceptable for sure.

I'd say my Core is quiet but then I couldn't hear a tank practically on top of me doing 50mph.

    Thumbs Up Re: Suunto Alarms

Well, thanks for the replies. I guess it's as I thought and we are getting various "alarm ratings". I'll go to the site and see if I can find a Suunto dealer in my area, then I can play with the watches and see...... If anyone else has input I would appreciate it.

From what I have experienced with the Suunto brand; the Core has teh best sounding and loudest alarm and the N3 is sooo quiet.

Cool, thanks for the help! I guess I may look at the Core first and see what I "hear".

    Willith:

I just received yesterday my second Suunto, a Vector. The Vector's alarms are audible (not as loud as my Casio Pathfinders - a PAW1300 and PRG40, but much, much better than the pathetic, whisper quiet 'alarms' of the Observer. . . don't get me started. . . )

    FWIW.

Tim, thank you very much for the reply and also for the comparison to your Pathfinder, that really helps me out. I guess a Vector is another possible replacement for my Pathfinder. So, I guess the Core and Vector are the best choices. Damn, I need to find a local Suunto dealer.
