Suunto Ambit

Since two weeks I am in possession of a Suunto Ambit. A few days ago a new firmware has been loaded on the watch (v1.1) via Moveslink of the MAC. What you see now is that display when switched to reverse (white on black) some discoloration can be seen on the black part of the screen. Anyone with the same experience ?

Yes, seems like its fairly common (i.e. has been discussed before) that the contrast needs to be manually adjusted.
1. go inte service menue by pressing the two top buttons, release when the circles goes all way around (11 seconds)
2. go into Adjust/contrast menue to set contrast. Default value is 50 and I saw in some thread that others use 35-40 but I had to go in the other direction to 70.

Interesting - my firmware on the watch is still at 1.07...

Anyone else get the 1.1 update?

I still have 1.0.7 and I just synced up my Ambit.... Firmware 1.1 wasn't announced by Suunto. Are you sure your watch reads 1.1?

Still on 1.07... No issues with the screen...

I was just coming here because I've been noticing the same...

And yes, with higher contrast it disappears more - and you have to look rather closely anyways to notice it at all.
