Suunto trek manager help

I've recently got myself an x9mi and have tried to plan a route on trek manager but can't figure out how to import a map, its just blank. I,ve got a google account but have no idea how to connect google maps to stm. Any help would be appreciated.

You have to import it as an image, set the scale and then you can start manipulating the map.

I have found that it is easier to use software like NatGeo topographic series, or download a topographic map from the USGS site and hand enter your coordinates via UTM.

I'm in the UK and none of the NatGeo maps cover the UK (that I can find any way), don't suppose you know of any that do or where I can get one?
