    Suunto X6 Questions

I have an X6 that has the heart rate menu inside of my chronograph menu. Does this mean it supports a heart rate monitor? if so will a gamin hear rate monitor work? it 's from an FR60.

Cool that you have an x6, it's got lots of features.

A plain x6 does not support hr
The hr models do, like the "x6hr" "x6hrm" "x6hrt". Do you have one of those?

And they use an uncoded analog signal. Not ANT, not coded.

I believe the FR60 strap is just ANT, no analog, and so won't work.

You should be able to buy an analog hr strap for about $30. Online or in a shop, maybe even including a watch - as this would be included on only the most basic watches nowadays.

The caseback is stamped X6, it does however have heart rte options in the menu under the chronograph menu. I checked the manuals and compared the menu option and this is definitively a X6HR. will a timex analog HR monitor work?

I can't say 100% for sure. But probably yes it is compatible.
The key is if it either says 5kHz or "compatible with fitness and gym equipment." And it must be uncoded.
It's what was the original industry standard for many years from Polar and Suunto and others.

Eg this looks like it would work:
