Looks like a winner to me, I really like the new style rubber strap.

In all my years of watch aficionado-dom, I've never had a DLC watch. How does the coating hold up in general?

Looks nice! Too bad it doesn't have the military time window anymore. That was one of the selling features for me on the original NT.

The DLC coating holds up very well. I have a couple watches with a DLC finish: a G-shock and the NT. That G-shock has gone through some rougher use in the past and there is nary a scratch on it. The bracelet and clasp is completely devoid of desk-diving swirls thanks to the super hard and slick DLC. My Night Train also has not a mark on it as well, but I have been careful with it. I like DLC and think it adds a cool gun-metal finish. Definitely a selling feature for me.

Do not know the price as it isn't on the current price list being a new watch. Rob might know but I don't know if it is shipping yet.

Like any thing it depends on what you hit it on. From my experience with over 20 different coated watches Balls DLC is extremely durable and far better than other processes. As mentioned in my Racer DLC review I have a friend that wore everyday for 3 years a Night Train and it does not have a mark on it. I've seen some one scratch one in a few weeks of ownership hitting it on stucco (I've actually scratches a sapphire crystal doing this). So there is really no way to tell.

As far as retail price I don't believe it has been set yet along with availability, but I'll ask Rob to see what he can find.

My experience (VSA Dive Master 500 Mecha; CW Tri-Tech Elite) has been that DLC is tough as nails. Good stuff.

Confirmed with Rob that no pricing or availability has been released yet for the US. We will post as soon as we know more.

I sold my previous Night Train in anticipation of this new larger one coming out two years ago...so this has been a long wait.
