Great choice in the 856; it is one of my favorite Sinns as well! I think the "Made in Germany" on the dial must be something designated for newer production because mine doesn't have it and I purchased from Watchbuys early last year:
Nomos also had dial labelling differences on identical watches from different production periods (ie. "Germany" v. "Made in Germany").
In any event, congrats and enjoy!![]()

I was mistaken: on Sinn's website the UTC models are like yours and don't have the text. It's only the new non-UTC models that have it. So I guess mine is recent production.
Did you buy yours on a bracelet originally? It's a well-made item but far from being the most comfortable bracelet in my small collection. Probably because the watch is nearly 50% heavier than the next one down, I find it quite difficult to get the right adjustment. I'm currently investigating some straps.
I bought my 856 on the strap. I really like my Sinns on various straps, including the OEM rubber but I'm sure I will come around to giving the bracelets a try eventually. The 856 looks fantastic on pretty much any strap. I've tried quite a few on mine; I'd post some photos but don't want to hijack your thread!

Please feel free to post pictures - nobody ever complains on this forum!
Mine is now on a plain black nylon strap while the bracelet returns to Germany. It is noticeably darker than the watch (apparently there is some variability between batches of tegimented bracelets) and Sinn have agreed to replace it.

That's a great selection of straps. I'm not usually a fan of straps - all my watches are on bracelets - but I think the 856 is a good candidate for experiment.
I do like the last one, as the black with white stitching complements the dial very nicely. Is it the Sinn strap and deployant?
I have a leather strap on its way to me and I'll post a photo when it arrives.
As I have received my new bracelet from Sinn, it's time for an update on straps. I bought a couple to try out for a few weeks while awaiting the bracelet.
First was a black nylon NATO. I was unsure of this, as the wrist shots I've seen make them look a bit bulky and clumsy. Well, with apologies to NATO fans, I was amazed at just how many loops and folds it needed to fit it, and just how much I hated it. It was like some weird piece of bondage gear with a watch attached. I attacked it with sharp implements and it's now a simple shortened two-piece strap with one metal keeper. It fits well and is quite comfortable, but it just does nothing for the watch. No pictures of this one!
Then a Rios1931 "Nature" in black buffalo leather. This is the first leather strap I've worn in 50 years and I really liked the way it integrates into the lugs, and the white on black that complements the dial. Nicely made, quite soft leather, and seems good quality for the very reasonable price. Unfortunately I just couldn't get to like it. I think I'm just too accustomed to a metal bracelet. I tried adding a deployant clasp to make it less fiddly to put on, but that didn't help. Wore it 3 times and gave up. If anybody wants the strap, please PM me and I'd let it go for a small sum.
So to the replacement bracelet. Here's the original, which is clearly darker and duller than the watch, and the replacement that is a much closer match. So full marks to Sinn for great customer service. I've also noticed that the new one is less prone to picking up shiny scuff marks. Just a couple of small spots inside the bracelet where the links rub on the clasp.
