    UX Questions

    Hello Everyone,
I've been on a painful search for a new watch over the last couple of weeks, and find myself drawn to Sinns. For a variety of reasons, I've narrowed down (I think - my wife's ready to strangle me!) to either a 756 or a UX.
I'm not crazy about the idea of battery changes but I'm expecially concerned with an oil filled case. Does anyone do their own battery changes for oil filled cases and is it difficult? I'd like to do this myself if possible.
I am in the states and I'd llike to buy new so I guess that means going thru Watchbuys. I haven't asked them yet, but does anyone know if they normally offer this model? It's not currently on their list of Sinns.
Lastly, one of my concerns is the size. I guess it's so subjective it's probably not worth asking but has the 44x13mm case been too much for everyday wear for any of you?
I really prefer the UX but my wrist is on the smaller side and this will definitely be the largest watch I've ever owned.

Thanks so much in advance for any help you can provide!
My productivity has been waaay down, while I've been obsessing on this :).

UX wears smaller for a 44mm watch. I love mine and am SO GLAD I got over the battery thing. It is spot on accurate and really cool to look at from angles. It has relegated all my other tool/casual watches to second hand status.

You WILL NOT be able to change the battery yourself. Must go back to the Motherland.

    Thanks!
Everyone can disregard my comments about Watchbuys, as I see they do have it, just with a strap.

Back to Germany for a battery! Ouch!

Or get crazy and get a U1000.......but the UX is a great watch. I would rather buy pre-loved. The money you can save pay for the maitenance back in good old Germany!!!

At 18mm tall!!! Wrong direction for my little girly wrist my friend.

    Any recommendations for pre-owned sources?

    Thanks!

I love my UXs - I wear it all of the time. I bought mine "used" here and it was like new and saved quite a bit. No regrets on this one.

    Re: UX Questions

I recently had a somewhat similar debate - it was between a 757 and a U2S. I really like the chrono function and 'busy' look of the 757, but the U series won out. For me I wanted something a bit sportier and I REALLY liked the idea of submarine steel; even if it's cheesy to tell people. As for the UX - it's my favorite out of the U1, U2 and UX for sure. U1 hands are too...interesting and the U2 has UTC which I don't really need. I wouldn't be too worried about the battery change - supposedly it's only once every 7 years; as well, you'll NEVER have to wind it.

I believe the 757 is 43 and the UX is 44mm so no big difference there. I actually think a 44mm watch is a great fit on a 7.25 inch wrist; wouldn't really worry about that.

I purchased the U2S from the WTS forum - there are a few Sinns that pop up here and there and you can definitely find one in like new condition for a great price.

Bottom line - go with your gut! Try tom think what you really want from the watch. You won't be disappointed with either (hopefully). Best of luck
