12 hour hand continues after chrono is stopped

Hey everyone. I bought a car2211 used back in December. Great watch. Wondering if it deserves its own thread on here. Anyway, my question is about the chronograph/movement. It sports a valjoux 7750. When I use the chronograph and stop it and don't reset the hands, the 12 hour hand continues to track time. Anyone encountered this? Doesn't seem right...right?

Your suspicion is correct - it's broken. Sorry. It wants to see a watchmaker... and probably not a cheap fix. You'll find out. (I hope you got a great price on it...)
