    Anyone ordering the JH80?

Ive been talking to my LVMH connection and I cannot get my hands on one until October...

pretty excitied by this new watch though...anyone else planning on picking one up? I think its a good choice for retaining value. Not to mention that I think its a gorgeous watch!

Well, they are available in Scotland evidently: Arrived today Jack Heuer 80th !

I suspect they will not last long in dealers given their good looks...

Could not agree more Eeeb , really don't think these will sit in the windows for long if at all, I know of a few AD's in the UK that have asked for more pieces due to customer orders knowing they will not be allocated due to the limited supply.

Look forward to welcoming fellow WIS to the club however .....

It's easily in my top ten favorites all time. I thought long and hard about it but decided to pass. I want a Omega Speedmaster and a Monaco more and that would put me at 3 nice watches. At that point I don't want to spend anymore money on watches.

Really struggling on pulling the trigger on this watch... my AD has assured me he'll have one for me as soon as they're released here in the US (Sept/Oct).

What are everyone's thoughts on retaining value for this piece? Something that'll drop in value immediately after purchase, or even retain/increase in value over a relatively short period of time? This would be my first Tag. TIA for the help/opinions/information!

You should never buy a watch as an investment unless you can purchase well below the MSRP from your AD. Some pieces hold value better than other's, personally I believe this will but only if you purchase at the right price to begin with.

Nice watch to be your first TAG Heuer though....

Completely agree! I've never purchased a watch as an "investment", but rather out of love and appreciation for the piece. This has been the first Tag to REALLY catch my eye and after speaking with a few AD's, no one is willing to budge from MSRP (one will pay the sales tax, the other will extend the warranty for an additional year - neither of which are huge incentives for me). My main contact for watches is not a TAG AD , so paying retail is really a sticking point for me, lol.

In reality, I'll probably never part with the watch and it will be added to the collection to be handed down to my son (who is 2 months old now, lol).

Ahhhh, what to do, what to do.

It's a nice watch, but based on the fact my Submariner has essentially been my daily companion for the past two years, just don't see it getting too much wrist time to justify the cost.

Medawar jewelers in Flint/Fenton is my go to AD. Just checked with Lucido and Mastercraft about the Tag JH80.
