    Aquaracer Chronotimer #CAF1010.FT8011 flaw

I recently purchased a Aquaracer Chronotimer #CAF1010.FT8011 from Jomashop.

I been wearing it a couple weeks and today noticed the the Tag Heuer symbol under 12 o'clock doesn't have an "E" in Heuer.
There is just a blank space where the "E" should be. H UER.
I am very concerned about this flaw and plan on returning it to Jomashop for repair or replacement.
I am a little disappointed in Tag Heuer's quality control and it actually crossed my mind that it might be fake ???
Has anybody ever seen this before on a Tag Heuer watch ?
The pic is a little dark but if you zoom in to the "Tag Heuer symbol" under the "TI PM" you can clearly see the blank space where the "E' should be in Heuer.

Well that's weird. I'm surprised you didn't notice it immediately. Is the "E" loose inside the watch?

I wouldn't worry about it being fake, but somehow it slipped past QC unless it was a known defect and sold to the grey market as such.

Your right,I should have noticed it sooner,my sight isn't as good as it was 10 years ago.
The first thing I did when I noticed it was check for a loose "E" and there was none.

Looking back at several of your previous posts, you knew the ramifications if something happened during the first 2 years.

You mentioned your brother wore the watch for awhile before you got it and wanted to buy it from you. Maybe that option is still open

You said the price was too good to pass up and saved a bag of money.

I've said for quite awhile that people don't know what these gray watches have been through or what their travels are.

I'm not sure what Joma will do. Good luck.

You are correct,I knew the ramifications of buying grey market, took the chance and got flawed merchandise.
I really liked the watch but thought it was over priced at my local AD in Canada at a list price of $3300 taxes in so I purchased it for $925 in the US.
I normally purchase my watches from an AD but this was intended to be my everyday beater and wasn't overly expensive at $925 so I decided the to take my chances and buy grey market and save almost $2400.
It's still a beautiful watch and works great but is just missing an "E" that is hardly noticeable with the naked eye.
If Jomashop doesn't come through I will just forget about it and enjoy my new "E" less Tag and have the flaw corrected when I send it to Tag for a new battery and servicing in a couple years.

Update.....I sent an Email to Jomashop describing the missing E on my new Tag and I received a reply from a very nice lady named Debra.
She actually called me long distance to Canada and said not to worry she would take care of everything and the watch would be replaced.
Debra also said in all her years at Jomashop she has never seen this happen to a Tag Heuer watch.
I mailed the watch off today to Jomashop in New York.
I have to say I am very impressed with Jomashop and their customer service. To actually get to talk to a real person who can speak English and understand your problem,Wow !!
I really didn't know what to expect when I sent the initial E mail but I am now utterly impressed.
I plan on doing more business in the future with Jomashop with full confidence in their warranty and great customer service.

I would have to say that is generally not the norm to receive a watch like that on any level from a good gray market dealer. Most rely on repeat business as well as new, glad Joma is stepping up as they should. Enjoy.
