Authentication/ Factory defect WAN2110

Hi guys, I just want some opinion on this watch.

I got this watch at an online store called timepiece.com. Their disclaimer specifically indicates that they only deal with authentic watches that are never opened. But when i received the watch, I found that the date dial had some 'ink' or 'scratch' marks. Do these kinds of factory defect happen quiet often? I assume with Tag's prestige this kind of factory defect would never happen.

1. Is this watch authentic?
2. Have this watch been opened? or tempered with?
3. Is this kind of factory defect quiet common?

Honestly, a smaller and clear pic would help a lot in answering your other questions. Also, I realize you're new here; and probably new to luxury timepieces. Please don't fall for all the marketing hype that all of the luxury brands toss out to the general watch-buying public. Especially with regards to "prestige." The WAN 2110 is easily my favorite TAG Heuer model. But yes, TAG Heuer has had its fair share of issues. All of the luxury brands have. That's just the reality of the way it is.

I have no idea what I"m looking at. Is the date wheel misaligned? I think it would be much easier to see if you reduced the size of the photo. If you don't know how do a quick google search, it's very easy.

45 line/smudge in that date window going uphill from bottom left (as you look at it) as far as I can tell

On the date dial, there's a black 'scratch' or an 'ink' mark

If there is, it's impossible to see on that over-sized and blurry pic.

I'd just return it.

I see the smudge on the date wheel. It would bug me once a month to see it, especially on a watch of that price. I would return it as well.
