Formula 1 suggestions..

Hey guys one of my favorite watches in my collection is the TAG Heuer Grande Date (wah1010). It's just so solid and perfect size. Overall just love the watch. I have the black dial but I've been eyeing the white dial version. Now I need suggestions. Should I buy the white one as well or wait to buy a better tag? I don't know what to do!!!!

Good question. Wanting a white dialed watch, I was in the same dilema recently.
I ended up getting a white dialed TAG Heuer Autavia re-issue but was also seriously looking at one of these Formula 1 models:



...problem is; I'd still like one of these as well.

I would wait to buy a better tag, it's nice to have variety.

I own the new model F1 Grande Date in white and I absolutely love it. The black one looks the same on the internet as it does at the AD, the white one looks much better in person. The silver sub dial also reacts nicely to changes in the lighting, as can be seen in the pictures posted above. The hands and markers are more of a gunmetal color than silver to give the dial some nice contrast.

I know it sounds silly, but there ARE different colors of white out there and IMO they have to be just right to work, this one does.

For the longest time I only buy black dial watches, my first Tag is a White/silver dial F1, sold it and missed it and gotten a black dial F1 same model.

I don't have a black dial in my collection anymore..but that could've change if I pick up a black F1 again :)
