I originally lusted after the anniversary caw211a, but those were a bit more than i wanted to pay. Thats if you could find one. I like the calibre 12 but i really wanted a vintage and not modern take on the Monaco. I resigned myself that i would just have to save for an 1133b or hope the caw211a would level off and stay semi affordable. When i saw the caw211p, i immediately checked to see if my jeweler had one in stock. They had the calibre 12 but not 11. Said it would be no problem to get one in the store. This was great because i could see them side by side. For me at least, the 11 was love at first sight. If I had owned a 12 i would have traded in or sold to get the 11. Less than half the cost of the anniversary monaco and pretty faithful to an original 1133b in looks and design. The monaco 12 is a truly great beautiful watch. The 11 is a grail watch for me.
I think it will hold value more than the 12 due to the vintage design.

But ive found my grail. And dont think anything could pry me away from it. So in summation... Get the 11!!

At $3600 currently on grey market (http://www.jomashop.com/tag-heuer-mo...11-fc6183.html) seems like a steal for what you're getting in terms of heritage. They may depreciate initially but if you've got the watch 20-30 years from now youlll see some upside I'm sure

I had a chance to buy this - virtually new - for $3350 and declined. Needless to say, I'm kicking myself for not doing it...

Vintage one is great, too, though the new one is pretty awesome and is faithful to the original.
