Monaco calibre 12 to Vintage Monaco ?

This is my first thread in a few years now, and having owned the Calibre 12 for the last 3 years I'm considering selling it to get the latest Monaco with the left hand crown.
Im a bit disappointed at how much this watch has devalued though and was wondering if this newer model will follow suit ???
At the time I bought the watch it was selling at £4500 and within a year it had been reduced to £4050
After a recent visit to a local dealer he estimated that it would struggle to attain £2000.

What do you guys think ? I know, only I can decide but I'd appreciate your thoughts.
    Thanks.

Very few watch brands hold close to their retail value. As far as I know the only ones that really do are Rolex and Patek.

+1. I'd do the swap because you love the watch but not as an investment. I found mine gray market for $3950 USD. Even at that price I'm sure I'd lose if I decided to sell it... but I bought it with the idea it will be a keeper so I'm not concerned.

Regardless of value, do you think it's worth the change ?

I'd have to agree, very few hold close to their retail value.
BTW, I'm looking to buy a Monaco Calibre 12. Let me know if you wanna sell yours.

It just depends on how much more you like the new one. Personally, I love mine and I prefer it to the most of previous models.

The crown in the left is very cool but mine does occasionally dig into my arm a bit. The sapphire crystal is really nice too. I generally prefer the shape of plexiglass crystals but in this case the sapphire is perfect. The Heuer only branding is super cool too. The clasp is also super cool with the Heuer only logo. The blue dial is also really special. I love the shade of blue.

Have you seen one in person? I'd highly recommend it. Perhaps that will help you make your choice.

Yep, most watches are worth about 30-40 percent once they leave the showroom. And, some are worth less.

As you are in the U.K., you could see what watchfinder will pay for your Calibre 12. I'm looking to buy a Calibre 11 now, and both Montredo and Chronext are £3250. Might reduce the cost to change a bit

Sorry for my lack of responses to this thread, I've had some broadband issues 😡
Anyway thanks for the heads up about watchfinder, I will check them out.
