Thanks Ernie!
I would like to know, if there are plans to renew the Grand Carrera series. Can we maybe find a calibre 1887 version of the Grand Carrera in the near future?
I will come to Baselworld too, tomorrow. ;)
kind regards
Two come to mind.
The interesting one:
i) How different is the business of watch-making you see today compared to when you were more directly involved in the process of making watches? What are the biggest changes and what are the most significant changes?
The not so serious one:
ii) The Carrera and Monaco models are once again being set firmly in place as the key iconic models of Heuer and now TAG Heuer. Do you or have you ever wanted to stand up in front of the designers and say "that is my watch and you're not doing it right"?
WIS Handbook, Chapter 1, Rules 1 and 2:
1. Tag Heuer never wins a poll. Should a member feel the need to express the desire to own one, he or she may be subject to ridicule and be ostracized.
2. Omega wins all polls. Should Omega not be mentioned as a selectable option, it is highly suggested that you still recommend the polling member purchase an Omega, preferably a Speedmaster with hesalite crystal to add extra character and a certain warmess to the dial.
Thought for the day: if watches and brands were people, how many of you would be racists?
Will TAG Heuer pitch firmly in with Sellita or are they developing their own in house movements moving forward after ETA ?
When is the Pendulum coming...?
In my collection I have a number of watches.
Bought a few, flipped a few.
The only people that understand are the ones reading this signature.
Simple question: Heuer Monaco "Black PVD" Re-Edition - Acrylic Crystal, "Old-Style" Pushers; Not IF, but WHEN?
Question to Jack Heuer: Are any of your children or grand children in line as your successor to continue the family's interest in TAG Heuer? It would be great to see the Heuer family continue to have some influence and direct connection with TAG Heuer for the next generation and beyond.
Jack Heuer:Not my knowledge, let's wait and see.

Jack Heuer:Jack Heuer:The biggest changes are that the leading companies are today international groups not with million- but billion-turnovers, this also means that every part of the business has become very professional, with subsidiaries in all the key markets.I was especially involved in the creation of the Carrera and insisted with every new version to maintain some of the clean lines of design that have been part of my product philosophy in 1963 when I launched the first Carrera. In the Monaco it was less the case because at its origin already, we had used blue dials, red hands, and horizontal hour marks, etc... So the design liberty has always been open-minded in this model

Jack Heuer:
TAG Heuer produces its own movement: the Calibre 1887, that is today in the Carrera chronograph series.
We also work with Sellita and of course we use some of their movements. TAG Heuer will increase our own production capacity with a new factory building in Chevenez dedicated to our 1887 in-house chrono movement.
We already have 2 Pendulum model chronographs in test but we have not yet decided on a launch date due to the many other major innovations we have.
