Picture My Heuer meets Lewis Hamilton

I took these pictures today and wanted to share them with you:

My vintage Heuer Carrera watch in front on F1 Pilot Lewis Hamilton in his McLaren race car on the air strip at Schiphol Airport.

My vintage Heuer Carrera watch on the carbon fiber axis of F1 Pilot Lewis Hamilton's McLaren race car.

Today (13 October 2010) I had the honour to meet Lewis Hamilton in person at Schiphol where he raced against Facebook/Vodafone.

Just wanted to share this memorable day with you :)

Words cannot describe how jealous I am! Im surprised they let you take such a detailed picture of the brakes. Usually in all Vodafone/McLaren videos, the brake area is blurred out, I'm assuming they have some tricks that they don't want other teams to know about.

@AbsoluteMustard: Thanks. It was great fun and Lewis such a great guy. Even after his bad day in Monza yesterday, he was all fun and sincere!

@Rage2: LOL! I did believe they said it is the 2008 car, so maybe that is why they let us take these pictures...

I hope Louis Hamilton appreciated the chance to see your watch!

"The watch has to be surrounded by a history.
You need more than just a great design. You need to create an atmosphere around the product.
Who is the company behind it? Why are they using this material?
People need to be able to identify the watch with themselves. It's based on emotion." - Ralph Furter

...that's just my opinion and I've been wrong before and will be again and might be now!

Whoooooo! Way to go, Alon. I bet that was exciting. Thanks for sharing pics. I can't believe you thought to photograph your watch (which is really beautiful, BTW) in that situation, but good show!!

My boy and I were able to track down Felipe Massa, Kimi Raikkonen, Nick Heidfeld, Timo Glock, and a few other drivers and owners at the last USGP. All gave autographs except for Kimi (he was an ). We even spotted The Great One driving into the paddock in his Maranello. That was a great trip! I'm looking forward to the USGP coming back, this time to Austin in 2011 (??)

Re: My Heuer meets Lewis Hamilton

This is my first time in the TAG Heuer WUS Forum (I spend a lot of time in the IWC one), but I am coming back, you guys are real passionate, great :)

@Gigi: LOL! I am a WatchFreak that has the luck to make a living of his passion ;) Thanks for the compliments.

@Eeeb: Actually you can see his reaction on video when I met him in person yesterday... We are currently uploading it to www.acejewelers.tv

@Cali Rider: Double Thanks :) I see you have a very nice collection there. Good for you! Would love to see you Navitimer... I have one from 1971 with a Venus calibre (double plane logo).

@JarrodS: You are welcome. Thank you for replying... I love racing, I love Heuer... So easy setting to make a picture ;) Sounds like you had an amazing time during the USGP. Pity Kimi was not in the mood. Lewis was super jolly yesterday, even after his bad luck the day before in Monza.

@cqcumber: Good for you! We can't wait to see your pictures... We hope you will share some before though ;)
