    My new "McQueen" Monaco

Hi guys. Just thought i'd share my newest purchase with y'all. Ever since Le Mans, I've adored this watch, so i finally bit the bullet, and picked one up. I love it (pardon the lint).

Only thing is, it runs VERY fast. It's gained over an hour just today. It's got me somewhat worried as I've never owned an automatic before (let alone a watch this expensive), and I'm hoping i won't have to send it out for service less than a week of owning it.

I've heard that these possibly need to be de-magnetized, and also that the oils can spread to other parts causing it to speed up...but I'm really not sure. Either way, I'm still glad i picked it up.

I actually purchased it online. However, the seller neglected to mention it.

take it to the shop and they will normally take it to repairment centre if the watch is genuine, but of course you may need to pay for the repair cost, so you need to consider the cost and benefits.

I hope the watch still has warranty.

I dealt with a seller who had the same problem on his watch, about 2-3 mins fast per hour. He sent it in for warranty work (it's faster in the US than Canada for warranty work), and it was deemed unrepairable. TAG ended up replacing the entire movement under warranty. Lucky for me, it was disclosed to me before I closed the deal.

Good luck, hope you get it fixed. She's a beautiful watch!

I have 2 Monacos and both are accurate to within 15 seconds in a 24 hour time period. I think that watch has serious problems! I'd return it and get your money back if you can.

    Good luck!
