I am looking to buy a new Tag Formula 1 watch, either the orange or black faced in Delaware.....
Went to Macy's and they have the watch at list price of $995USD...The salesman won't budge on the list price...However, they have a deal where if you sign up for the Macy's credit card, you get 20% off...so that makes it $795...
Is that a fair price?

Is Macy's an authorized dealer? any other AD in Delaware?

I Just picked one up for $770 US/ $850 Aud
here in Aust they sell for $1200

So your getting a good price either way.

There's no sales tax in Delaware...so thats a plus...

there there other AD's in Delaware or Maryland region?

This macy's did not have the colour i wanted...I was looking for either Orange or Black.....they only had Red or White.

Also they mentioned that Tag is raising the 2008 list price of that watch to $1150 USD?

With no sales tax that's a nice lil discount. Still kinda a joke that they won't come off the price on the entry level Tag.

Macy's is an authorized dealer I believe, but the price for a basic Formula 1 is too high - and that is with the nuisance of opening a credit account with the store. With tax included, you are over $800, and I purchased my Formula 1 Chrono from an authorized dealer for slightly over $800 with the in-store discount.

Well I did it...I pulled the trigger on a orange F1 chrono with the metal straps.

I went to Tourneau in Troy, MI...and got the watch for $800 tax included.
The kicker for me was that they included the battery replacement of my old Formula 1 watch...Plus they say that with my new F1 Chrono, Tourneau will cover the battery replacement for as long as I have my watch..
Has anyone have any experience with taking Tourneau up on this offer?

I bought my auto Carrera from Tourneau. They offer reasonable prices, and provide decent service - in my experience. Glad you did not go with Macy's.

try to find another ad in you area maybe they will give a better discount. If they don't there are other things to consider such as service so look around see whats out there
